This week Year 1 have been learning about odd and even numbers. The pupils were challenged to sort baubles onto the correct Christmas tree.
Week beginning 23/11/2020
This week as part of our Religion topic Waiting, Year 1 were tasked with writing an Advent Promise. The pupils decided on some lovely and kind promises that will help their families and friends.
Week beginning 16/11/2020
This week year 1 learned all about the festival Diwali. We use maps and globes to help us discover where India is and how far away it is from Wales. The pupils very much enjoyed searching, exploring and discovering using our maps and globes.
Week beginning 02/11/2020-
This year, Year 1 have been chosen to be the Rights Respecting Class which means we have been learning all about our rights. This month we will be focusing on Article 19: 'I have the right to be safe'. To keep us all safe this Bonfire Night Year 1 have created a Bonfire Night safety video filled with lots of tips and instructions to keep us all safe.
Week beginning 19/10/2020
This week the pupils have been learning all about Victorian toys as part of our Toys topic. The pupils have had the opportunity to play with some Victorian toys (ball and cup, toy soldiers, diabolo and marbles). The pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning and playing with these toys.
