    Week 8

    Hello Year Six.

It is another week closer to seeing you all again and I am very much looking forward to it. This week we will be covering new areas of science you need to know. This work should commence on the 15th June. I hope all children have acted on my directive to continue with a daily task on Bug Club, Mathletics and about 15 minutes focusing on elements of Welsh as a Second language. When we return to school can all children please bring in the work that they have done during the lockdown period so I can ascertain the learning that has taken place please.

In Science this week we will be looking at the reproduction of the flowering plant, keys, habitats and adaptations. I hope you find the learning interesting. Next week I will be looking at forces and space.

This week (15th - 19th June) is the 'Bluebirds From Home Festival' and I would like you to complete the additional activities that are provided. All the information and resources can be found on the 'Additional Resources' page on the Home Learning Hub.

Past Papers on the Flowering Plant

Years Six, some of you will want to test your learning. Therefore I have added past science government assessments of your learning on plants. The questions are levelled as 3, 4 and 5. This work is OPTIONAL, but it is a great way to see if you can apply your learning in a series of contexts. You should choose the level that is most challenging to you. remember that you are not required to do all these tasks. Some may want to do level 3 and try level 4 questions etc.

    Good luck

    Mrs Houston
