St Joseph's RC Primary School
Our school 'Senedd' is made up of representatives from our class action groups. We have a First Minister and Deputy First Minister who will be heading our Senedd.
We have signed up to the UNICEF OUTRIGHT CAMPAIGN. This year, the focus is on ‘Children’s Right to Health’. We are currently working on different projects in class dealing with the impact of different healthcare systems across the world and the obstacles that prevents some children from accessing healthcare.
The St Joseph’s School Senedd comprises of representatives from all Year Groups from Year 3-6. Each committee member has been given a specific role. These include; Rights Respecting Schools Super Amassadors, Eco Committee, Fairtrade Committee, Mini Vinnies, Healthy School Ambassadors, Curriculum Ambassadors. They meet to develop their own areas each week and feedback to the whole Senedd in their monthly meetings. The Senedd also discuss issues brought up from their own classes, enter national competitions raising awareness of issues, as well as being involved in the interview process of new staff at St. Joseph’s.

Tasks for February 'Class Action Group' meetings.
All Senedd members have been given a 'Road Map' to complete for their specific action group - this will be using this to feedback during the next meeting on what will be happening in each committee area for the rest of the year.
Senedd Meeting Spring 2022
The Senedd have been given the task of helping to write the school Vision Statement. We used the results of the questionnaire completed by some parents, staff and pupils about what words represented our school best. We used these key words to mind map different statements. The school leadership team will take our ideas into account when creating our new mission statement.
