Da iawn Rights Respecting group! As a result of all your hard work, we are pleased to announce our successful accreditation visit and new status as a Silver School! Our assessor was so impressed with your eloquence as you showed him around the school and talked about your rights. You should be very proud of yourselves!
Rights Respecting Club 21/5
We have been busy prepping for our Silver Visit by checking all displays have a rights label.
Year 6 have been busy starting their new Pupil Voice topic - Social Media. They will be learning about their rights and responsibilities surrounding the right to reliable information from a variety of sources.
Congratulations to the entries for the right to a good environment competition - keep your eyes peeled for these beautiful pots decorating our new gardening area.
These children will be responsible for getting St Joseph's reading for our Silver Award.
Meet Reggie the Rights Respecting Rabbit!
Part of achieving Silver Accreditation involves celebrating the rights of the child at home and in activities outside of school. The children will be taking turns to take home ‘Reggie the Rights Respecting Rabbit’ and fill in his diary. Whilst waiting for their turn, please encourage your child to bring in photos/ drawings/ writing/ ticket stubs etc. of times when their rights have been promoted outside of school to be added to his diary.
Decorate a container that would be suitable for planting e.g. an old pot/welly/small bucket etc. Winners from FP/KS2 will be planted on show in the school grounds. |
