Phased rollout of Primary Free School Meals
All pupils of St Joseph's Primary are now eligible for free school meals and the rollout complete.
This is an important step in reaching the shared ambition of ensuring no child goes hungry while in school.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR BOOKING MEALS
Lunches must be ordered via Parentpay account in advance. You will not be able to book a meal on the same day that it is required. You can book meals up to the night before or weekly/monthly. If your child does not have a Parentpay account they will need to bring in a packed lunch until the account is set up. Please contact the school and we will issue you log in details for each child to create an account to book meals.
In response to the current rising cost-of-living, Welsh Government and Cardiff Council are committed to implementing this scheme quickly and would ask for your patience as we build catering capacity to ensure a successful phased implementation.
Cardiff Council are working with the Welsh Government to develop a process for you to be able to request a free meal for your child/children, trying to avoid any unnecessary burden for you. Please be rest assured that if your child is currently in receipt of free school meals and/or any other associated benefits, these will not be affected.
