This week we have been writing to different companies to raise awareness of the use of Palm oil in their products and how it is damaging the rainforest. We also presented our Holy Week assembly, focussing on the Garden of Gethsemane.
We had a wonderful visit to Bute Park the week, taking part in engaging workshops and exploring our local environment. We had such a lovely day!
This week we have been investigation flowering plants, dissecting them and learning about how they make new plants through seed dispersal!

This week St Teilo have been looking at the features of poetry! We had great fun performing different pieces about Rainforest animals!
This week we have been focussing on dilemma stories. When faced with a dilemma, always let your conscience be your guide! We helped the character to make a decision by giving different points of view and using different persuasive arguments.
This week we had our first maths club! We really enjoyed playing the dice games and seeing who could get the most, or reach the target first!
This week we have been thinking all about the world and especially where the rainforests are located.
This week we’re we’re very creative! We made our 3D Nativity scenes and our personalised Christmas decorations! Glitter, paint and sparkle everywhere!
This week some of us went to Tesco to sing with the choir all the Christmas carols we have been practising!

This week we have been learning about forces! We looked at pushes and pulls and also completed an investigation into friction!
We had a fantastic time at Lakeside care home taking part in the music and movement workshop run by Intergenerational Music andMovement. The children took part in songs, dances and games with the residents and had a wonderful time! Some great comments about how well the children engaged, listened and were a credit to the school! We have been working on the Outright Campaign for Rights Respecting Schools and focussing on the right to healthcare. We had a wonderful P4C lesson, discussing equality and equity!
This week we celebrated our Young Writers who have been chosen to have their work published in a book! We also had a lovely visit to St Joseph's Church and celebrated Mass with Father Jose.
We completed some great number work this week, working out our number bonds and remembering, 'It's nothing new!'
A fantastic Harvest Assembly led by St Teilo's Mini Vinnies Committee!
This week we have been thinking about how we can all be friends and we can all be different. We have also had our Mini Vinnie council elections and collected the donations from classes ready for the harvest festival!
We read the story all about filling your inner bucket with happiness and how we can fill up others by being kind and loving. We made our own buckets and worked hard to create ‘dignity drops’ to drop into one another’s buckets!
