Learn To Ride Summer Course
Level 2 On-Road Child Cyclist Summer Course
Two cycling courses are being held during the school holiday at the Road Safety Centre in Maindy for:
Level 1 – Learn To Ride (Beginners)
Level 2 – On Road Cycling (9yrs+)
The courses run over four mornings or afternoons and this year being funded by the Summer Of Smiles initiative by the Welsh Government, which means we will not be charging for the course. This is open to all Cardiff children.
Following health and safety advice, the wearing of a cycle helmet is compulsory.
Please be aware that children cannot be taken on the Level 2 on-road training sessions unless they have sucessfully completed Level 1 (Which takes place on the Monday).
Level 1 (starting and stopping, steering, swerving, using gears and signalling) will be taught and assessed on the Monday using the Maindy Centre’s road training layout.
