Dear parents and carers,
As you know the Welsh Government have now given guidelines for returning to school in September. Cardiff schools had further guidance yesterday from our Director of Education. With these guidelines now clearer, St Joseph’s are formulating a plan for all children to be back in school by 14th September subject to a continuing, steady decline in the presence of COVID-19 in the community.
It is expected that planning and preparation days will take place at the start of term to enable St Joseph’s to work with staff on reviewing our risk assessments, processes and systems to ensure the safe return of your child. We will need to change the emphasis on contact groups, increasing the size of our groups, but staying within our system of controls.
In line with government Guidance we will be prioritising focus on Early Years and Year 6 and looking at staggered entry and exit. We will share our plan for a September school return as soon as possible.
