As we approach the end of a really difficult year, I know most of you will keen to know the arrangements in place for January 2021. Plans are in place but not complete yet.
As you may have seen on the news, in Cardiff, it is proposed that schools will continue to provide distance learning to pupils from Monday 4 January 2021. While pupils are learning at home, schools will be using Monday 4th January and Tuesday 5th January to assess staff availability, review risk assessments and to make appropriate plans for the return of face-to-face learning, ensuring schools remain a safe environment for learners.
Hopefully, from Wednesday 6 January, schools will provide provision for some groups of pupils, where they have the capacity to do so. From Monday 11 January, the expectation is that all pupils will return for face-to-face learning.
These arrangements are still to be finalised and I am awaiting an email tomorrow from the Local Authority so that I can share with you the plans in place for opening with St Joseph’s Primary in January,
Stay safe and take care,
