Dear parent/carer
Thank you for your continuing support, patience and understanding at this time of unprecedented challenges. I sincerely hope that you and your families are able to remain safe and well and that your children are able to access the learning resources which our school has worked hard to provide.
As from Monday 30th March 2020 the Key worker care provision at St Joseph's will cease and we will become part of the Whitchurch Primary hub.
The Whitchurch hub comprises pupils from Whitchurch Primary, Coryton Primary, Hawthorn Primary, Rhiwbeina Primary, Birchgrove Primary, St Monica's Primary, Allensbank Primary, Gladstone Primary and ourselves.
The arrangements for the first week of hub provision is outlined below but please be aware of, and act upon, the following before deciding to send your child to our hub:
Again, thank you for your understanding.
Whitchurch Hub
The children of key workers who absolutely cannot find an alternative solution will be able to access childcare provision based in Whitchurch Primary School (Erw Las, CF14 1NL, 02920623441). The following protocols will apply in the first instance:
· Provision will start from March 30th
· Childcare will be available from 8.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m
· Parents will need to arrange to drop off and pick up their children from the Whitchurch Primary School site.
· On arrival you will need to sign your child in to the school. You will also need to complete a basic information form on the first day you use this facility. This is attached, but will also be emailed to you if requested. Please ring the school tomorrow on 02920621625. It would be helpful if this could be filled in at home and brought to school. We will not be able to accept your child into this provision without all of this information.
· The nine schools which make up the hub will supervise on rota basis.
· There will be qualified first-aiders on site.
Once more, many thanks for your support in this and all other related matters. We hope that you and your families remain safe, remain healthy and we look forward to a time when normal learning is resumed in all of our schools.
