Unfortunately, again a minority of parents have not been following our car parking rules in St Mark’s car park. Sadly, I have had a report from St Mark’s staff that a parent was quite rude when asked to move from a no parking bay.
I have also spoken to parents today, who are still walking through the car park as a short cut. The entrance for walking parents and parents with bicycles is North Road. There was a near accident today when children on scooters and bikes went in front of a reversing car and were not seen. A number of parents also ignored out polite sign and turned right today.
I cannot stress enough that we are only using this car park because of the kindness of St Marks. The car park does not belong to the school. I fear that if parents continue to ignore polite requests and continue to turn right on exiting, speed when they arrive and park irresponsibly, that this arrangement will cease and we will have no parking area.
PLEASE USE OUR CAR PARK RESPONSIBLY AND ONLY USE IT IF YOU ARE DRIVING THE NORTH ROAD ENTRANCE SHOULD BE USED FOR PEDESTRIANS AND BICYCLES/SCOOTERS.
