We have had instruction today from the Director of Education that:

The latest temporary disapplication of the school session times requirements will end on 18 February 2022.

 This means that those schools who have temporarily made changes to their session times, such as St Joseph’s at the start of the January term must now return to their usual arrangements after the half term break.

Session times for all classes ( excluding  Nursery)  from Monday 28th February 2022 will now be:

8.55am – 3.30 pm.

Gate opening times will now be

8.45 am and 3.20 pm

We will continue to ensure core interventions remain in place.

These include:

• procedure for ‘pick up’ remain the same with KS2 parents waiting behind barriers and Foundation phase parents waiting in area outside FP classrooms
• procedure for ‘drop off’ remains the same, though gate times have changed
• reminding all staff and learners to follow self-isolation guidance
•  reminding staff and learners to not attend school if they have any COVID-19 symptoms
• one way systems in and around school
• regular handwashing and respiratory etiquette throughout the school to prevent spread and manage cases, incidents & outbreaks
• ensuring adequate ventilation o maintaining appropriate levels of cleaning.
