Accessible to any family expecting a baby, or with a child or young person aged 0-18 living in Cardiff, the aim of Cardiff Parenting is to work in partnership with families living in Cardiff to improve parenting confidence and skills, strengthen relationships and nurture wellbeing and resilience.

During the last few months when many families have been in lockdown, Cardiff Parenting has continued to work directly with parents and has also been developing a range of online resources advising parents on dealing with issues such as:

·       Dealing with demanding behaviour during uncertain times

·       Helping children with their behaviour: Connection & Correction

·       Supporting young children with their feelings during uncertain times

·       Window of tolerance

·       Returning to school

These, and other soon to be added resources, can be found on the new look Cardiff Parenting webpage along with a link to follow the newly launched Cardiff Parenting Facebook page.  The Facebook page is updated daily with ideas for home-based activities for teens, young children and families, recipes, quizzes, wellbeing and parenting tips.

Support is also available from Cardiff Family Advice and Support including the Family Gateway, The Index and updated support service information aimed at professionals, children & young people and parents & carers.
