An important message from our Local Authority:

Following the roll out of the Universal Free School Meal offer to all our Reception aged pupils in the city from September 2022, the Local Authority are now in a position to start the next stage of the roll out in Cardiff schools following the Easter break.

The next stage of the roll out in Cardiff is going to be delivered as follows;

• From Monday 24^th April 2023 all Year 1 pupils will be offered a free school meal.
• From Monday 5^th June 2023 all Year 2 pupils, in those schools that are ready to deliver meals, will be offered a free school meal.
• From Monday 5^th June all Year 2 pupils, in those schools that are not ready to deliver meals, will be offered an alternative.

The first week back after the Easter break will be used to finalise arrangements to start the roll out to Year 1 pupils and a letter to parents from The Local Authority with more information will be shared this week.
