Meet The Staff


 

Introducing our staff, with the help of our very talented artists in Foundation Phase!

 

Mrs Riordan (Head Teacher)

I came to this lovely school in January 2017. I am responsible for making sure we all work together to make our school the best it can be. We are working on making our school building bigger, better and beautiful! Our Nurery has now opened and we are flourishing as a school.There are exciting times ahead for the St. Joseph's Primary community. The best things about our school are the fantastic, hardworking and caring staff and our kind, friendly children. 

Mrs Wheeler (Deputy Head and Nursery Teacher)

I am the deputy head teacher and have worked at the school for over 30 years. I currently teach in the Nursery. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the children!

Miss Allwood (Reception Teacher)

I am the Reception Teacher. There is something very special about St. Joseph's Primary School and I feel very lucky to work here. The children are wonderful and the staff are very welcoming. I look forward to seeing what this year will bring!

Miss Brenchley (Year 1 Teacher)

 I currently teach Year 1 and I am responsible for ensuring we are a 'Rights Respecting School'. My favourite things about St. Joseph's are the lovely children and staff. 

Mrs Tuff (Year 2 Teacher)

I have worked at the school for 5 years. I currently teach Year 2 and I work with the School Council and Fairtrade Committee. I am also the Additional Learning Needs Coordinator. The best thing about St. Joseph's is the children!

Mr Mansfield (Year 3 Teacher)

 I am currently the Year 3 teacher and I am responsible for Mini Vinnies and how PE is taught in the school. My favourite things about St. Joseph's are the children and  community feel. 

Mr Cobb (Year 4 Teacher)

I currently teach Year 4.  I am responsible for how maths and numeracy are taught in the school. I also help manage the school website. My favourite things about St. Joseph's are the ethos and children!

Miss Westgarth (Year 5 Teacher)

I have worked at the school for 8 years. I teach Year 5 with Mrs Beynon. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the kind and caring children!

Mrs Houston (Year 6 Teacher)

I have worked at the school for over 30 years. I currently teach Year 6 and I am responsible for how RE is taught in the school. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the children!

Mr McHugh (PPA Teacher)

I have worked at the school for 4 years.  I am responsible for leading Key Stage 2 and oversee how digital competence is being taught across the school. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the strong sense of community. 

Mrs Partridge (Teaching Assistant)

I have worked at the school for over 20 years. I am a classroom and intervention teaching assistant. I am also the school ELSA. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the children!

Miss Chinnick (Teaching Assistant)

I have worked at the school for over 15 years. I am a classroom and intervention teaching assistant in Key Stage 2. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the children!

Mrs Brookes (Teaching Assistant)

I have worked at the school for over 20 years. I am a classroom teaching assistant and work in the Nursery. I help out with different after-school clubs.  My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the community spirit!

Mrs Virgo (Teaching Assistant)

I have worked at the school for 3 years. I am a classroom teaching assistant and responsible for Breakfast Club. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the lovely children!

Mrs Silva (Teaching Assistant)

I started working as a TA in our school in September 2019 in Years 2 and 3. I am delighted to be working here. I learn every day from both the staff and the children, and I am trying to be a useful help for all our community members. In my country, Chile,  I am a primary teacher with more than ten years of experience. I have a degree in mathematics and I have worked as a science teacher too.

Ms Fuller (Teaching Assistant)

I started working at the school as a Mid-Day Supervisor. I now work in the school as a TA. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the lovely pupils!

Mrs Ekstrom-Gabb (School Secretary)

I have worked at the school for over 10 years. I am in charge of the school office and PA to the head teacher. My favourite thing about St. Joseph's is the children!
