On Wednesday the school community came together to celebrate our May Day Mass and Procession. The Mass was dedicated to the memory of our much - loved dinner lady, Mrs Powell who served our school over four decades and was highly regarded by all those who had the good fortune to spend time with her. The Mass was attended by Rita’s family and past members of staff. A bench was added to our school playground in the memory of Mrs Powell with her favourite words, “Be kind and play fair.” Thank you to all the parents who gave flowers to their children to celebrate this event.
The year six pupils attended the Transition Mass at the Cathedral yesterday and met the new Archbishop for the first time. It was a wonderful event. Many thanks to the parents who gave up their time to accompany us back to school from the Mass.
