Welcome to our page!
The St Joseph's Learning Squad is designed to help celebrate and support teaching and learning throughout the school – this is through the eyes and voices of the learners.
We hold regular meetings, working together to discuss aspects of our curriculum and we visit classrooms to undertake learning walks. We see it as a very supportive process, giving ownership of the curriculum and learning environment to both teachers and pupils. By gathering views and opinions from our peers, the squad is then able to reflect on these ideas and report their findings back to staff.
Our committee is made up of 2 representatives from each of the following classes:
St Teilo
St Gwynno
St Tydfil
St Dwynwen
Our first task this term is to review the Marking, Feedback and Assessing policy. We have shared our experiences and ideas of marking with each other, consulted our classmates and made a few recommendations for Mrs Wheeler to share with staff at INSET.
Spring Term 2023
This term we are focusing on our learning environment. We will be undertaking learning walks of the classrooms, corridors and outside areas.
We are also organising a whole school competition to name the school robots that represent the 4 core purposes
