Welsh After School Club. Available to Dosbarth Gwynno Sant and Dosbarth Teilo Sant. Thursday 3.30 to 4,30 pm. Led by Mrs Houston.

Class Assemblies and Class Masses

Dear Parent (s’) / Guardians,

You are warmly invited to attend Dosbarth Gwynno’s class Mass and class assembly. I want to give you all plenty of notice so that you can make appropriate arrangements with work commitments if you would like to attend these services. The dates are as follows:

Class Assembly: 11th November, at 2.45 p.m. This will be a Remembrance Service.

Class Mass:  1st December, 2. 15 p.m.

Welsh phrases of the Week 2022 - 2023. Throughout the academic year children will learn a new Welsh phrase each week that Criw Cymraeg will deliver at the Welsh assembly on a Friday afternoon. Teachers are required to deliver the assembly through the medium of Welsh to set an excellent example for the children.

Autumn Term Overview for Dosbarth Gwynno

The four purposes of the new curriculum for Wales inform our teaching. Our learning experiences enable our pupils to be:

 

  • ambitious, capable learners who undertake research and evaluate critically what they find and are ready to learn throughout their lives
  • enterprising, creative contributors who give of their energy and skills so that other people will benefit and are ready to play a full part in life and work
  • ethical, informed citizens who show their commitment to the sustainability of the planet and are ready to be citizens of Wales and the world
  • healthy, confident individuals who have the skills and knowledge to manage everyday life as independently as they can and are ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.

 

PE

 

PE will take place every Wednesday. Please make sure you bring your kit and suitable footwear. 

 

Expectations

 

Bug Club

It is expected that the children use Bug Club to support to developing their reading skills at home. Books have been assigned to each child. 

 

Mathletics

Children also have access to Mathletics. which is an online learning resource which supports the development of mathematical skills at home. Children are expected to make use of this resource on an weekly basis and work their way through the challenges assigned to them.
