SAINT DAVID’S DAY MARCH 1st 2023

Dear families of Saint Joseph’s

Saint David’s Day will take place on Wednesday 1st March 2023. We ask that all external competition entries are in school by Tuesday February 28th so certificates can be awarded to children. (Please label cooking competition and all entries with your child’s name and class please.)  All children will be represented in the Eisteddfod from competitions conducted in class because of the internal competitions taking place. WE VERY MUCH HOPE AS MANY CHILDREN AS IS POSSIBLE ARE REPRESENTED IN THE EXTERNAL COMPETITIONS.

Daffodil Donations:

For those families who wish to donate a bunch of daffodils to decorate the stage this would be much appreciated. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Spring presentation for learning for children and parents. The children will be shown this presentation so that they have an overview of what their learning entails this term. Parents will be invited to school for the presentation, but for those who are unable to attend a copy has been attached.

Dosbarth Gwynno: Spring Term Planning for Literacy and Guided Group Reading.. The class text for this term is 'Street Child' by Bernie Dogherty. I have included a copy of the text for homework purposes and for any child who wishes to read the book at home. The text has been chosen as it will compliment the work being conducted in context lessons on 'Child of the 2000s', where the children will apply their literacy , mathematics and IT skills to investigate the rights of children in the past and present. A copy of the context planning has also been attached.,

Autumn IT Homework Completed.

Autumn IT homework that was set on line has been completed by all children in Dosbarth Gwynno who were not absent in the last week of the autumn term. Your child's PPTs, descriptions of learning and videos are located here. If parents look on the class page below, videos of the children's learning have also been uploaded as well as on the school gallery. The children produced excellent work and collaborated brilliantly. Their investigative skills were first class.
