A warm welcome from Bill, Max, Melvia and Isla. We are proud to be the Healthy School Ambassadors for St. Joseph’s RC Primary School. We represent everything ‘Healthy’ in our school and of course we always include the Rights of the Child in every decision we make.
Being a Healthy School covers such a huge range of things, from promoting wellbeing, to encouraging other children at our school to come in by walking, riding a bike or their scooter. We regularly have meetings with other School Senedd members about targets we must try and achieve. We also feed back to our classes in school, as well as to teachers and Governors.
We have recently put together a whole school letter to encourage healthy snacks and lunches in school. This has been really successful and we are now looking at other ways we can promote healthy eating in our school.
We are going for our Healthy Schools accreditation this academic year so wish us luck!
