May Day Mass in Memory of Mrs Rita Powell On Wednesday the school community came together to celebrate the May Day Mass and Procession. The Mass was dedicated to the memory of our much - loved dinner lady, Mrs Powell who served our school over four decades and was a member of staff who was so very highly regarded by all those who had the good fortune to spend time with her. The Mass was attended by past members of staff and it was so lovely to catch up with them again. A bench was added to our school playground in the memory of Mrs Powell with her favourite words, “Be kind and play fair.” Thank you to all the children who were able to bring in flowers and potted plants to celebrate this event.
