St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 23.02.26
Welcome back everyone! Hope your half-term break was lovely and restful.
This week in Nursery has been full of excitement, creativity, and kindness! We explored the important message that Jesus taught us to love God and love everyone. We listened to the story of "The Good Stranger” and talked about how we can show kindness to others. We loved roleplaying this story and re-enacting it in our Religion corner on the “Kindness Road.” We also took part in our “Helping Hands” activity, where we shared thoughtful ideas about how we can help people around us.
Throughout the week, we developed our communication skills by retelling stories, asking questions, and sharing our thoughts. In our maths activities, we enjoyed sorting crayons by colour, counting them, and creating patterns. We were especially interested in our paint blowing activity, learning new techniques and talking about the colours we could see.
We also spent time exploring the woods as usual, searching for natural materials and refamiliarizing ourselves with the equipment. We showed great curiosity and used our senses to explore the world around us while thinking about how to care for living things.
Our creativity continued as we worked on beautiful daffodil artwork throughout the week, and Miss Horner and Mrs. Bowen were very proud of our final creations. To finish a lovely week, we enjoyed making Welsh cakes to celebrate St David’s Day, carefully following instructions and working together.
It has been a joyful week filled with learning, exploration, and teamwork. The children showed fantastic enthusiasm, kindness, and resilience in all they did—well done everyone! 🌼
