St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 09.02.26
Another great week has passed here in St Non.
This week, we worked a little more on the story “The Feeding of the 5000.” We listened again and discussed the miracle that Jesus made. We practised our fine motor skills, threading wool onto cardboard fish, using them in our play and on our religion board. We also practised tearing, cutting and sticking to create cards for our loved ones for St. Valentine’s Day coming up. We also discussed pancake day!
Once again, Miss Horner used our interests from the previous week to shape our provision this week, and we were very interested in magnets stemming from our magnetic fishing. This week was all about magnets and construction! We had a tuff tray all about exploring the properties of magnets, and sorting between what is magnetic and what is not. As there were nuts and bolts on this tray, a few of us also made little robots out of them. We took advantage of the sun outdoors and built towers with friends. We also used bits of pipes and guttering to make a tunnel for balls. On our last day before half term, we went full Valentine’s Day, all things pink, red and heart-shaped. We made a multimedia art piece together, made bracelets, heart stamping art and made pancakes!
Have a lovely half-term, everyone. See you back soon!
