St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 26.01.16
Happy St Dwynwen's day everyone! We kicked off this week full of love, friendship and celebration by making some lovely St Dwynwen's Day art together. In religion, we talked about how much Jesus loves us, and decorated a heart in our books whilst discussing everything Jesus does for us.
Many new things appeared in our classroom this week. We focused on creating an environment that was better suited for each individual friend in our class. We focused on our interests, and what makes us, us. We worked hard to finish our self-portraits, looking in the mirror and painting what we could see. We also got familiar with different parts of faces out in provision, with puzzles and face building activities with loose parts.
Loose parts were put all over the classroom to help us develop and broaden our creativity, we had very few instructions as Miss Horner and Mrs. Bowen wanted to see what we could come up with on our own. Our investigation station also opened this week, to encourage us to live out our half-termly virtues; Curious and Active.
St. Non's shop also opened this week, and our home corner has grown so much bigger, so the possibilities for play are endless!
See you next week.
