🌈 Design for All – Inclusive St Joseph’s Project

As part of our learning about diversity, equality, and inclusion, we took part in the “Design for All – Inclusive St Joseph’s” project. Using the School Sanctuary Survey, we explored how our school celebrates different cultures, languages, and faiths, and how we make everyone feel welcome and valued. We noticed the many ways St Joseph’s promotes inclusion — from our multilingual welcome signs and diverse displays to our quiet reflection areas in each classroom and near Ms Wheeler’s office. We then used their findings to design improved school layouts, suggesting ideas such as clearer ramp signs and lift access to make our building even more accessible. The project helped us learners understand that inclusion means everyone — whatever their culture, religion, or ability — can belong, feel safe, and take part fully in school life.
