St Joseph's R.C. Primary School

Week Beginning 8.12.25

We have had a lovely festive week this week, with more to come in the following week. We went to the church for Mrs Houston's last Carol service. This was a beautiful event and thank you for everyone that came a long. We then watched the rock steady concert with some class members performing in their band, they did an amazing job! We also had our penitential service on Friday, ready for Christmas.

In Religion this week, we made a Jesse Tree as a class and considered the stories in the Old Testament that led to the covenant being fulfilled in Jesus' birth. We have looked at the 7 O Antiphons sang in Church during the last week of Advent. Finally, we also have studied the meaning of the carol O come O come Emmanuel and how we feel listening to it. In maths, we looked at fact families. In Literacy, we have finished off our skills ready to write our persuasive speech next week. In context, we have brainstormed all our knowledge of our Diversity topic this term to help us write our speech in how to make all cities to be Cities of
Sanctuary like Cardiff. In Welsh, we have been playing games as seen in pictures below to review all the vocabulary we have been learning this term.
