St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 01/12/25
On Monday, our classroom was all decorated for Christmas, and we had a special visitor in our class who will be staying with us for December. The Elf on the Shelf will be reporting back to Father Christmas each night to let him know what we have been doing. The children decorated the tree with pink and purple baubles to represent our advent colours.
In RE this week, we have been discussing the birth of Jesus and how Jesus was born in a stable and laid in a manger. The children created beautiful crafts to show this in their books.
In Maths, we have began learning about one more and one less. We were using practical objects to practise this and using the number line.
In Phonics, our new sounds were ck, sh, and th. We began singing the tricky words song to practise our words that Tricky Witch had changed.
We have been doing a lot of practice for Christmas and creating some beautiful Christmas crafts. We created a snowman paper plate craft and some salt dough gingerbread men which we will decorate next week.
