We began our school year off well, getting to know some new classmates and seeing our friends. This week we were learning:

RE

The beginning of the story of Abraham where we acted out in groups God asking Abraham to leave his family behind and go to a new land. We have also considered Abraham's feelings and considered how strong his faith in God was. We have also explored the meaning of a covenant in relation to Abraham.

Welsh

We have been learning the months of the year, so we can ask and answer when our birthdays are.
 

Maths

We have been revisiting place value with 4-digit numbers. We have compared! Ordered and added some of these numbers.

Literacy

We watched  the story of the lighthouse. We practised our comprehension, description and sequencing skills.

Context

We began looking into our new topic which is the development of Cardiff as a diverse society. We looked at some pictures and thought of some of our own questions to answer throughout this topic. We have then looked at maps from modern day Cardiff all the way back to the 1890s. This has shown us how Cardiff has grown as a city
