This week the children have been learning about why Jesus made Peter the 'rock' of the Catholic Church. They have compared two Gospel versions of the three denials of Peter after the arrest of Jesus. This was extended to exploring the features of Peter's character and actions and how they are evidenced in the following Popes'. Next week we will learn about the hierarchy of the Catholic Church and will learn about our newly appointed Pope, Pope Leo.
