We've had a lovely week celebrating International Week where we've learnt all about Spain. We've looked at Catholic celebrations in Spain, we've imitated Picasso's cubism style in our art work and we've made some flowers to reflect the national flower of Spain, the red carnation. We also looked at some different Spanish buildings and drew them and made them in our construction area and even learnt how to flamenco dance! The middle of the week saw a lovely trip to Roath Park Lake where we went on a bug hunt, drew some pictures of the beautiful nature around us and then saw some very interesting plants and animals in the conservatory. We even saw some HUGE insects in the conservatory, including a stick insect who could wave at us!
