Father’s Day Mass
On Sunday 17th June at 9.15am, we welcome you to join us at St. Joseph’s Church for our Father’s Day Mass.
Congratulations to all of the pupils who took part in Active Travel Tuesday, and to those who won raffle prizes! The table below shows that St Joseph’s Primary results, who competed against 11 other schools, made it into the top 3 schools who took part and we have won some more prizes which will be coming soon. Thank you to everyone who took part and their families who encouraged them to actively travel to school!!
If you didn’t take part in Active Travel Tuesday, don’t worry as there is another competition starting next week on Monday the 23rd of April. The Big Pedal is an initiative and competition where every bike or scooter journey pupils make to school over 2 weeks will be logged and added together to hopefully get St Joseph’s school to travel the distance around the world. If we reach our goal, we will be celebrating with a special event, more information to come. To take part, simply bike or scoot to school on as many days as you can over the next 2 weeks.
Our best 5 days will be taken for the competition. Please see flyers and posters around school for more information.
Fitness and Fun Day for Year 6! Wednesday 25th April 2018.
Our Year 6 children have been invited to take part in a Swansea University study. In this study, they have the chance to take part in a fitness fun day, and complete a questionnaire about their health and lifestyle and how physically active they are. The fitness day will involve lots of fun, physical activities that they may not have tried before which should be really enjoyable.
Pupils will bring home today a parental consent form which must be signed along with the information that you will need.
Please see class pages for further information.
National Young Writers' Awards 2018!
The children will be given an entry form for this competition. This is a national competition being judged by David Walliams! The closing date is Sunday 29th April 2018.
It would be fantastic to see some winners from St Josephs!
