St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning: 05/10/2026
In RE, we discussed how we can be stewards of God's world and take care of His creation. The children created beautiful pieces of artwork which were added to our class book.
In Phonics this week, we learnt the sounds m, d and g. The children enjoyed practising these sounds through a range of fun activities.
In Maths, we have been learning about patterns. We created caterpillar patterns, went on a pattern hunt around the classroom, made colourful painted caterpillar patterns and created our own patterns in our books.
As part of our Context work, the children became mini-beast investigators in the woods. They chose a mini-beast, either butterfly, snail, ladybug or bee, and used clipboards and investigation sheets to discover information about its habitat, diet and needs. The answers were hidden on posters around the woods, making the activity both exciting and educational.
