In Religion this week, we learnt about the story of the Ascension of Jesus and spent time sequencing the Easter story. We discussed the key events and what they mean for Christians.

In maths, we were introduced to using Numicon and focused on ordering numbers from 1–10. We explored this through hands-on activities and enjoyed playing games such as Numicon bingo and using dice to help us recognise and order numbers. We took our learning outside and ordered ourselves 1-12.

In phonics, our sound this week was ‘oi’. We practised recognising, reading and writing words with this sound through a range of fun games and group activities.

In our context work, we began our new topic of Health and Wellbeing. We started using the Microsoft Reflect board to share how we are feeling and began learning Makaton signs to express different emotions.
