St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 5.1.26
Welcome back everyone!
Miss Horner and Mrs. Bowen were so excited to see all of our smiling faces again, as well as meet all of our new friends! Welcome new ones, we can’t wait to show you our classroom.
This week, we talked a bit more about the Wise Men and their visit to baby Jesus, this week celebrated something called the ‘Epiphany,’ it certainly took those Magi a long time to find Jesus! We began to decorate crowns with silver, gold and jewels to wear next week.
This week was all about settling into our routines again, and helping our new friends to learn them as well. We read ‘The Colour Monster Goes to School’ to help us not feel so alone. Our water tray was transformed into a warm bubble bath with rubber duckies, and our tuff tray had lentils in it to pour, fill and use paintbrushes to make marks in. We also practised matching our colours with an I Spy set up! We went outside on the bikes and used the rain to our advantage, using it to help us watercolour paint.
All of our new friends are so brave, and we have been so patient and helpful.
See you next week!
