St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week Beginning 5.1.26
We've had a great start to the new year this week! Our new virtues are curious and active.
In RE, we have started our new branch, Galilee to Jerusalem. We discussed our new key vocabulary and also looked at the Ten Commandments. We have explored which of the 10 commandments we feel are most important to us and how we can show we follow these in our everyday life. We have also learnt how we can be curious and active at home and in school. In Literacy, we have started a new writing journey which is writing a narrative story from a different perspective from a classic story. This included looking at the story of the 3 little pigs and 'The True Story of the Three Little Pigs' written by Jon Scieszca. We have compared the stories but also explored what a perspective is and what this means. In maths, we finished our times tables topic and have moved onto column addition. In context, we have begun our new topic, which is technology, specifically electricity. We were reflecting on what we already knew but also what we like to find out this term concerning electricity. Finally in Welsh, we have looked at different activities which we will be using to talk about what we like and dislike in weeks to come.
