St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 24/11/25
In RE this week, we continued learning about the story of Christmas through our Nativity practice. The children have now been given their character roles, which has helped them put their knowledge into action as we prepare for the show.
In maths this week, we have been learning about prepositions and using a teddy to practise positional language. We also linked maths to Christmas by cutting up shapes labelled 1–10 and sticking them back together to make a Christmas tree.
In phonics this week, our sounds were y, z, zz, and q.
On Miss Wood’s Wood Wednesday, we read Stick Man in the woods and found our favourite stick. We compared the sizes of our sticks, looking closely at their lengths and widths.
This week, we also had a very special visit from Teddy Bear Hospital which the children loved! They got to practice carrying out X-rays and bandaging on the teddy bears.
