We held our class Mass today, focusing on the theme of Heroes, Role Models and Change-makers. The children reflected on how ordinary people in history, Scripture and in our own lives can do extraordinary things through courage, kindness and doing what is right. We talked about how God’s light shines in each of us and how we can use our gifts to make the world a better place. It was a thoughtful and meaningful celebration for the whole class.

This week, we also learned about David and Goliath and how David defeated Goliath by trusting in God and showing great bravery. The message behind this story reminds us that even when challenges seem huge, faith, courage and doing what is right can help us overcome them. We then explored David’s advice to his son Solomon and linked it to the qualities we hope to see in world leaders today—wisdom, fairness and leading with a good heart.
