St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 22.09.25
This week in nursery, we continued to celebrate all of God's creations. We began to discuss God's creation of animals, and read the story of Noah's Ark. We also celebrated God's creation of the rainbow, working together to make a beautiful rainbow for our display board, and were introduced to our Welsh colours!
This week, we began our first storybook-themed week with Goldilocks and the Three Bears! We searched through the forest floor to rescue the Three Bears using tweezers, and we role-played with Goldilocks, the Three Bears, their porridge and furniture! We also used autumn nuts, conkers and branches to try to create the Bears' missing faces! We went on a bear hunt through the woods on our outdoors day, and finished the week off by tasting porridge that was juuuuust right! We are so proud of the children for trying a new snack!
We painted lovely autumn trees and also made hedgehogs (coming home this week). In maths we sorted shapes and practised our peeling and sticking.
For Fairtrade day, we dressed in blue, green and black, discussed paying workers fair prices for our favourite snack (bananas) and chose stickers.
We have all built so much confidence already in this first month. Well done, everyone!
