St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 15.8.25
This week we learned all about the Creation story, how God made our whole world. We know he made the water, the sky, the fish, the birds and all of the animals. We have also been working on remembering the names of the first man and woman God created: Adam and Eve. We worked together to cut and paste our whole wide world for our religion display board as well as experimented with paint dabbers to colour in animals.
We are still communicating with one another and settling in swimmingly to our new daily routines. We have been listening to and discussing different picture books. A couple of our favourites this week were "The Smeds and the Smoos," and "Cyril and Pat," all about diverse and new friendships! We also welcomed two new friends into our class this week which has been amazing.
In maths we are continuing to work hard to identify 2D shapes, colours and numbers through sorting activities, singing songs and reciting nursery rhymes.
We made mud pies during forest school this week, and definitely got very muddy! (Sorry mums and dads)! We have had such a lovely time exploring and learning together this week.
