Information for families in Dosbarth Gwynno Sant. Our new topic in RE is ‘Dialogue and Encounter’. The project commenced on the Monday following Pentecost Sunday when the disciples received the gift of the Holy Spirit. This enabled them to go out and spread the Good News of Jesus. Thus far we have focused on the experience of Saul on the Road to Damascus to persecute those who were following Jesus and proclaiming him as the Messiah. We revisited how God spoke to Saul and how he was cured of his blindness. This inspired Saul to go out and proclaim Jesus as the Messiah and to write a series of letters to explain the significance of Christ in their lives.  From this moment on, Saul became known as Saint Paul and one of the greatest advocates of Christ. The children have created a new prayer focus and used the flames for their Virtues Tree to explain how they will strive to be ‘Faith – filled and Hopeful’.
