St Joseph's R.C. Primary School
Week beginning 27.01.25
St Cadoc had an amazing week this week.
We started off by finishing our literacy reports on Betty Campbell and self-assessing our work to see if we had met the success criteria.
We then started our new writing journey which involves being able to explain how something works. We delved deep into conflict resolution through some engaging role play and discussed why and how it happens, and how we can resolve it.
In our context we have been learning all about how people over the years have fought for their rights and why they have had to. This week we learnt all about the miners' strike of 1984-85 and wrote a diary entry from the perspective of a child who grew up during that time.
We then finished the week with a trip to the museum to learn about the 1984-85 strike at an incredible exhibition.
