Welcome to Our Class
Welcome to our class page! Here you will find everything you need to know about our learning, routines, and expectations. We are excited for the year ahead and look forward to working together to help every child achieve their best. This page will guide you through what we are learning in line with the Curriculum for Wales, our uniform and PE kit requirements, and the homework expectations that will help support learning at home.
Our Curriculum and Class Expectations
In our class, the four purposes of the Curriculum for Wales guide everything we do. Through rich and varied learning experiences, we aim for our pupils to be:
- Ambitious, capable learners who can research, think critically, and are ready to continue learning throughout their lives.
- Enterprising, creative contributors who use their skills and energy to benefit others and play an active role in life and work.
- Ethical, informed citizens who care for the sustainability of our planet and are ready to take their place as citizens of Wales and the wider world.
- Healthy, confident individuals who can manage everyday life independently and lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.
School Uniform
We take pride in our school identity and expect all children to wear the correct school uniform each day.

Additional notes:

- Jewellery should be kept to a small ring, watch, and stud or small sleeper-type earrings.
- No make-up should be worn in school.
Homework
Homework will be set weekly and will include:
- Reading – Reading must be completed on a daily basis.
- Maths – Weekly tasks on Mathletics.
- Spelling – There will be a weekly spelling test. Spellings will be posted on ClassDojo for pupils to practise at home.
- Class-linked Task – Each week, pupils will be given an additional task (paper-based or online) linked to the topics and skills they are currently learning in class.
Mathletics
Children have access to Mathletics, an engaging online learning platform to support mathematical skills at home. Pupils are expected to complete their assigned tasks weekly and are encouraged to explore additional activities to further strengthen their learning.
