Year Six / Blwyddyn Chwech - Mrs Houston

Year Six / Blwyddyn Chwech - Mrs Houston 1

Ocean Commotion: The children are working hard to learn the musical 'Ocean Commotion'. The musical has been chosen as it links to the year six context for learning, 'Save our Planet' The children are in the process of learning dances and making sets for the production. Many thanks to those team of parents making the costumes for the performance.

Science: The children in year six have been learning to make circuits using electrical symbols.

Enerprise Week: The children in year six have spent the last two weeks setting up their own business. They have learnt about shareholders, advertising, profit, loss etc. A big thank you goes out to all the parents who gave of their time and resources during the production part of this project. It was a very messy affair!

Year Six visited the Panasonic Factory in Cardiff to learn about sustainability issues in the work place.

Team Building Workshop:As part of eneterprise fortnight the children have learnt to set up a business. To achieve this goal the children particiapted in a literacy, thinking skills, DT and mathematics project.

Reading Comprehension Activities English. It is importan that when you attempt these tasks that you do noy guess the answer - always refer to the text. When expressing your ideas and opinions about a text you need to ensure that you refer or quote from the text to support your response - Do not repeat yourself in the answer.
