Year 5W - Homework

The children will be performing 2 songs as part of St David's Day. I have attached the words.

13th January 2017

As part of our Context work, I would like the children to research the country of Lesotho in Africa. They can present their work in any way they wish - powerpoint, factfile, leaflet etc.

11-11-16

As part of our Religion work on "Life Choices" I would like the children to create a presentation about the Sacrament of Marriage. This can be in the form of a powerpoint presentation or a booklet.

13-10-16

This week, the children are to research the different jobs that children would have done in a Victorian mine.

29-9-16

Some children/parents did not realise that the weekly homework would be on the Class page. I have not set my class homework for this week as I would like everybody to catch up with the homework they might have missed. Maths and spelling homework can be found on the page of the class your child is in for that subject eg Children in my literacy group will find their spelling on my class page.

23-9-16

Following on from our work in IT, I would like the children to produce a poster explaining what makes a strong password and why you need a strong password. These will be used for display.

Strong Password Checklist

16-9-16

To research the artist Vincent Van Gogh.

9-9-2016

As part of our work in Religion I would like the children to create a fact-file/make notes about a person they admire - this will then be used next week to write a short biography.

The person they choose can be somebody they know, eg a family member, or a famous person.

The fact-file should contain general facts eg full name, date of birth and also important events in their life.

The children will be writing about the talents and qualities of the person they choose and why they admire them.
