Our class Prayer Service June 2019
We had a great workshop this week with Hamish who taught us how to ride our scooters safely. We also learnt how to stop and be in control of the scooter.
We made animal models for our zoo in our Home Learning! We were able to create animal passports to show the different information we found out about the animal we made.
Now the weather improving, we are doing our PE outside. We are practising our skills for Sports Day! Please remember PE kit every Monday with trainers for outdoor PE.
Summer Term! Zoo animal puppet show!
This week we made our own zoo animal puppets and made our own script for our puppet show. We then filmed each other and uploaded it onto seesaw to then evaluate our performances.
We decided we would like to make Easter Baskets for our Flip Flop My Day Friday!
We decided that we wanted to paint t shirts to represent an electric rainbow. We all did our own artistic interpretations. We made a design and then evaluated it after to see how much we stuck to the design and if we made changes and why.
Holy Week Assembly- The Last Supper
A big thank you to everyone who came to watch our assembly as part of Holy Week. The children were amazing and created such a prayerful and reflective atmosphere, in preparation for the rest of the assemblies later in the week.
Visit to St Fagan's - pre- electricity!
What a wonderful visit to St Fagan's to learn about times before electricity! The sun was shining and we really enjoyed learning how to do the laundry and looking at the houses through time. We worked out how they did the simple jobs without electricity!
Making electrical circuits!
We decided that we would like to use electricity to see if we could light the bulb or sound the buzzer. We made electrical circuits and investigated what happens if you break the circuit.
We decided as a class that we wanted to make Mother's Day cards for our mums. We wanted to use paint and be creative and we composed a poem each to go inside!
Food Standards Agency - Assembly and workshop
On Monday we welcomed a theatre show from the Food Standards Agency, who taught us about hygiene, cross-contamination and safe cooking. We then had a wonderful workshop to support this!
Workshop with PC Rhys - Right or Wrong
PC Rhys worked with us to do a workshop based on knowing right from wrong. He also took a few minutes to tell us about his uniform and what he carries with him.
Celebrating World Book Day!
We had great fun during World Book Day and enjoyed the celebration in the hall and reading a variety of books!
