Welcome to Reception's Class Page
Homework Class Info
This term our topic is 'The Beach'. We will be having a 'seaside' and 'ice-cream parlour' role play area so if you have any toys or beach artefacts we could use that would be much appreciated. Also if you have any photographs from when the children have visited the beach could the children bring them in so they can talk to the class about their experiences.
Thank you for your support.
Well done Reception on a very successful term of learning. You have been very busy in the classroom and are showing much more confidence in your writing, reading and numeracy skills. You have also contributed some lovely ideas this week about how you are going to try and grow "inside" to become more like Jesus. I would like you to think of your Lenten Promises throughout the holidays.
Have a lovely holiday!
Reception celebrates the Eisteddfod together
The children have been very busy practising for our Christmas performance of Snowman at Sunset. We are looking forward to showing our friends and parents next week. Look out next week for photos of our super actors and actresses!
Welcome to our very own special page on the School Website! Please check this page regularly to find out all about our exciting learning that happens in our classroom. It will be updated weekly with photos and clips showing what we have been doing!
A giant shape of a dinosaur arrived outside our classroom! We tried to bring it to life by using objects from the outdoors. What sort of dinosaur do you think he is?
On Friday we took part in an anti-bullying assembly along with the rest of the school. For the first time we sang in front of the whole school and some of us even became actors for the morning! Through our acting we showed the rest of the school how important it is to be kind to each other. Our song had the important message - 'The more we love each other the happier we will be'.
This week in School Fr. Ambrose came to our classroom to share with us our own very special prayer service. During the service we prayed for all our families. Our families at home, our class family, our school family and the Church Family. All the children played an active part through reading, singing and acting. Some children acted out the Gospel which told us all about Jesus welcoming the little children. It was wonderful to see the children being so reflective and being responsible for their own service. We look forward to welcoming Fr. Ambrose to share future prayer services with us.
On the 5th November we went on a Educational visit to Cardiff Museum. We took part in a workshop to explore sounds made by dinosaurs! We had the chance to hold an actual dinosaur bone!
