Choose a zoo animal and find out as much information as you can about your animal e.g. What it looks like, Where it lives, what it eats and any other interesting facts.

St David's Day Competition.

All children are encouraged to cook something at home that is traditionally Welsh.

There will be a first second and third prize awarded in each class!

 

Please bring your entries in by Monday 27th February at the latest.

 

Please also ensure that the containers’ in which food is brought in is placed in a container with your child’s name and class clearly indicated.

 

St David’s Day Competition Foundation Phase

 

Draw a Welsh lady and label using any media – use IT skills to research.

Practicing counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s from different starting points using numbers to 100

Choose numbers and write in your  homework book

Using boxes and junk make a model of a famous landmark of you choice e.g. Eiffel tower, leaning Tower of Pisa, Taj Mahal,Big Ben, Statue of Liberty etc. The models will be used to support learning in class e.g. Oracy (children report back to peers on how they made their model, instruction writing, measuring and comparing models,, locating landmarks on maps etc.

If models could please be in school by Monday 29th January. Thank you

Remember to include a beginning, middle and end to the story. Try and be imaginative  and use as many adjectives as possible.

Explain why we these groups of foods are important as part of our balanced diet.

Write a prayer on the special sheet that you have been provided with. 

Write a draft copy first before writing  onto the special sheet.

As discussed in class think carefully about the opening to your prayer and your special intentions.

You may like to write a thank you prayer,  a sorrow prayer, a prayer for a special intention.
